Hi im not sure as I have 3 and they all have something wrong with them lol, the first one I had was a remmington Ionic one and its really heavy and diffcult to hold and I dont think the Ions on this hair dryer do a thing, I also had a charles worthington one and I this one only had to heat setting cold or really hot and that frazzeld my hair which wasnt good. I also have one of the Beliss by babyliss although I dont use the straightening part of this dryer as it takes to long and doesnt make a difference I use just the nozzel, this works very well and is really small and light, and ionic but the nozzel doesnt lock in very well and keeps falling off and the light goes red on the side lol so I guess you have to use it with the nozzel on as it goes blue with the nozzel on lol
So its up to you, I recommend picking one that has a few heat and speed settings.
Im wanting to try that nutri heat the one that you put the capsule in but Im not to sure weather to get it or not as I have got one but its just not as good as I want it to be,

the new chi hairdriers!!! they are great but on the expensive side, but are totally worth it and they last a long time and dry hair really quick(i have thick hair too!)
I personally LOVE Conair. I have one of the Ionic ones (less frizz. (: )
